Workflow & Automation Audit

Find out which of your weekly admin hours software can take, before you pay anyone to build anything. I map the repeatable work in your business and hand you a written plan: what to automate, what to buy off the shelf, and what to leave alone.

Who it is for

good_fit/

  • You own or run the business and still do admin work yourself
  • The same quote, invoice, report or follow-up gets rebuilt by hand every week
  • Data is retyped between two or three tools that do not talk to each other
  • You suspect software could take some of it, but not which part first

not_yet/

  • The process changes every time, so there is nothing stable to automate
  • You already know exactly what to build: skip the audit and ask for a build quote
  • You want a tool recommendation only: a free call covers that

How it runs

  1. 01

    Session one: map the work

A working session with you or whoever runs operations. We list every task that repeats, how often, who does it, and which tools it touches.

  2. 02

    I go through it

I look at the tools you already pay for, what each task costs in hours, and what could go wrong if software did it instead of a person.

  3. 03

    Session two: the plan

We walk through the written audit together. Each workflow gets one verdict: automate, buy, or leave alone, with the reasoning.

  4. 04

    You decide what happens next

The plan is yours whether or not you build with me. If you do, the audit fee is credited toward the build.

Questions before you book

What do I actually receive?
A written document: every repeatable workflow we found, the hours it takes today, a verdict (automate, buy off the shelf, or leave alone), a payback estimate for each one worth doing, and a recommended order to do them in.
What if the answer is that nothing is worth automating?
Then the audit says so, and says why. Some work is better left manual, and some is better handled by a tool you can buy for a few dollars a month. Telling you that is part of the job.
Do I have to build with you afterwards?
No. The plan is written so you can hand it to any developer, or to the vendor of a tool you already use.
How much of my time does it take?
Two working sessions and some back-and-forth by email while I review your tools. The whole audit is delivered within two weeks.
What kind of businesses is this for?
Owner-operated service businesses: trades, field service, agencies, bookkeeping and other back-office work, small e-commerce operations. Anywhere the owner is still the one retyping the numbers.
