Evan Perez
Founder, Neurova LLC
Senior Engineering Manager by day. Self-taught engineer with a non-traditional path that made me better at building things that actually work. I started Neurova to build production-grade software for people who need it — full-stack apps, AI pipelines, automation tools, and data systems.
The Path
Six roles, one throughline: take a complex system, figure out what it actually needs, and build the program that gets results.
- 01
Educator & Coach
Built science and history curriculum, coached a girls basketball team, and ran a LEGO robotics club — my first code that did something real.
curriculumROBOTC - 02
Regulatory Affairs
Licensing strategy and label review for chemical products. Where the eye for compliance-grade detail came from.
processdocumentation - 03
Personal Trainer
Assess the system, find what it actually needs, program the work. Same job as engineering — different equipment.
NASMprogramming - 04
Data Analyst Apprentice
Broke into tech entirely self-taught. SQL queries, Python automation, and healthcare claims data.
SQLPython - 05
Data Engineer → Data Engineer III
Five years of production pipelines on AWS with dbt and Python, moving healthcare data at scale every day.
AWSdbtpipelines - 06
Senior Engineering Manager
CurrentNow leading engineers and owning the systems behind them — architecture, delivery, and the people who ship it.

What I Work With
- Languages
- Python and TypeScript. Python for data, ML, and automation; TypeScript for web apps and APIs.
- Frontend
- React, Next.js, Tailwind. My sites score 96+ on Lighthouse across the board.
- Backend & Data
- FastAPI, Node.js/Express, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Redis. ETL pipelines processing 100K+ records daily.
- AI/ML
- TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost, OpenAI API, RAG with pgvector. ML models with 878+ engineered features.
- Infrastructure
- AWS, Docker, Railway, Vercel, GitHub Actions. Everything ships to production, not a demo.
Built by Neurova
You're looking at the proof.
This site isn't a template. I designed and built it from scratch — Next.js 16, React 19, Tailwind CSS 4, GSAP scroll animations, server-side form handling with Resend, and deployed on Netlify with automated builds. The firing pipeline schematic in the hero, the cursor glow following your mouse, the film grain texture — all custom, and all hand-written CSS rather than a library.
